Ethical Leadership
For the Greater good
Today in the U.S. and in some parts of the world, there is fear and suffering due to unethical leadership actions that are not serving the greater good. You see it in our politics and in our organizations.
We work with leaders to create a world that serves the highest ethical vision for organizations, people and the planet.
Evolve Consulting advances ethical leadership in organizations to achieve business results that matter for all stakeholders. We seek to fulfill the ideal that “a rising tide raises all boats.”
Ethical leadership means leading with strong moral values, principles and a clear purpose, guiding people toward holistic goals while maintaining integrity, fairness and empathy—even when making tough decisions and handling their complex consequences.

“True leadership is moral authority, not formal authority. Leadership is a choice not a position. The choice is to follow universal timeless principles, which will build trust and respect from the entire organization. Those with formal authority alone will lose this trust and respect.”
~Stephen Covey
Ethical organizations outperform their competitors
The business case for ethical leadership is significant and can be measured in both tangible and intangible ways. Here are key areas where ethical leadership delivers a strong return on investment (ROI):
1. Financial Performance & Profitability
Companies with strong ethical leadership often outperform competitors financially. Ethical businesses build trust, reducing legal risks and regulatory fines. Studies show that organizations with ethical cultures tend to have higher stock prices and long-term sustainability.
2. Employee Engagement & Productivity
Ethical leaders create a culture of fairness and respect, leading to higher employee morale, lower turnover, and increased productivity. Engaged employees are 17% more productive and contribute to 21% higher profitability, according to Gallup.
3. Reputation & Brand Value
Ethical companies build strong reputations, which attract loyal customers and investors. A strong ethical brand reduces marketing costs and improves customer retention.
4. Risk Reduction & Compliance
Ethical leadership minimizes risks associated with scandals, lawsuits, and regulatory violations. Preventing corporate misconduct saves millions in legal fees and reputational damage.
5. Innovation & Long-Term Growth
Ethical cultures encourage openness, psychological safety, and creative thinking, leading to higher innovation. Companies with strong ethical foundations adapt better to change and disruptions.
6. Customer Loyalty & Trust
Consumers prefer brands that align with their values. Ethical companies build deeper customer trust, leading to long-term revenue growth.

Women want more equality and the world needs it
The latest research shows that women have not achieved equality and it is negatively impacting families, organizations and the world economy.
- Leadership constructs such as assertiveness, competitiveness, self-promotion and directness are negatively correlated for women but positively correlated for men. 66% of women receive negative feedback on their personal style versus only 1% of men who received that same type of feedback.
- Women earn 84% of what men earn for the same work.
- 87% of North American companies today report gender diversity is a top priority.
- Men interrupt women almost 3x more often than their male colleagues.
- For every 100 men hired or promoted to first-level manager, there are only 87 women and 82 black women.
- Women are dramatically underrepresented in leadership roles (% of women):
- 26% C-Suite
- 28% Senior Vice President
- 32% Vice President
- 36% Senior Manager
- 40% Manager
- 48% Entry Level
- Advancing women’s equality globally can add $12 trillion to global growth.
- When 30% of senior leaders are women, an organization’s bottom-line profit and employee engagement increases.
